Quick answer

cK Builders replaces and repairs roofs and replaces siding across St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Dakota County and the south metro as a licensed Minnesota residential building contractor (#BC809999). Every city on our service-area pages has a residential roofing permit process, and we pull the permits and schedule the inspections. For benchmarks, the 2025 Cost vs. Value Report lists Twin Cities averages of $31,900 for a 30-square asphalt shingle roof and $19,915 to replace 1,250 sq ft of siding with vinyl.

Roofing and siding work we do

From a full tear-off to fixing a leak, we handle pitched asphalt shingle roofs on homes and garages (we don’t do flat roofs). A full replacement includes decking inspection and replacement, underlayment, ice and water barrier, drip edge, step, counter, chimney and skylight flashing, pipe boots, and ridge and intake ventilation.

On siding, we replace whole houses or repair damaged sections, mainly in vinyl and LP SmartSide, plus fiber cement, steel and cedar, with house wrap and trim at windows, doors and corners. We also replace soffit and fascia, wrap fascia, and install and repair gutters and downspouts.

After a storm, we inspect for hail and wind damage and give you photos and a written scope. Every job includes the city permit and inspections, protection for your yard and landscaping, and nail and debris cleanup.
